Who are we?

PLANJUS (plan-jus.com) is an adult information site about sex between men: a glossary of gay and bareback vocabulary, tips for safer hookups and a Health section on HIV, STIs, chemsex and the risks of specific practices. We talk about sex frankly and without judgement, with one goal: giving readers the right information to take care of themselves and their partners.

Who writes and reviews the articles?

Frank Reverter writes and reviews the content of PLANJUS (plan-jus.com), including the Health section. He writes every health article from official sources (Santé publique France and its Sexosafe site, AIDES, the World Health Organization, the French National Authority for Health, Drogues Info Service) and checks that every figure and recommendation matches the source cited at the bottom of the page. He is not a doctor: the articles inform, they do not replace a consultation.

How we write health articles

Official sources first. Every health article is based on Santé publique France (the French national public health agency, and its Sexosafe site for men who have sex with men), the charity AIDES, the World Health Organization (WHO), the French National Authority for Health (HAS), Drogues Info Service, Sida Info Service or the French health insurance (Assurance maladie). Sources are listed at the bottom of each article with a direct link.
Every figure is dated and sourced. We state the year a figure refers to (for example "in 2024") and the body that published it. We never make up statistics or round them to sound more dramatic.
Review before publication. Every article is reviewed by Frank Reverter, who checks the text against the cited sources. The date of the last check is shown at the top of the article.
Harm reduction, without judgement. Like community health organisations, we start from what people actually do (bareback, chemsex, BDSM, piss play…) to explain how to reduce the risks. Informing about a risk is not encouraging a practice, and we never give drug-use advice beyond the harm-reduction messages published by health bodies.
No personal medical advice. Our articles do not replace a doctor, a sexual health clinic or a pharmacist. In an emergency call 112 (15 in France); after an HIV exposure, go to an emergency department or sexual health clinic within 48 h for PEP.

Updates

Recommendations change (new injectable PrEP, vaccines, antibiotic resistance…). Health articles are re-checked at least once a year and whenever an official source changes its advice. The last modification date is shown on every page.

Independence and commercial links

PLANJUS is funded by partner links (a dating chat, marked as a sponsored link) and by its classified-ads and video sub-sites. These partners have no say over the Health section: no health article is sponsored and no health product is recommended in exchange for payment.

Report an error

Does something look wrong or out of date? Email admin@plan-jus.com with the page and, if possible, the official source that contradicts it. We check every report; if the error is confirmed, the article is corrected and its update date changes.
