What is stalking and a stalker?
Stalking is harassment and a perversion of attention. A stalker can therefore be translated as a harasser. It is obsessive and unwanted surveillance with a violation of privacy that has absolutely nothing to do with any game or fantasy. Whether physically or online (“cyberstalking”), the harasser’s goal is to intrude into the victim’s life by force.
How to distinguish stalking from consensual practices?
It is fundamental to distinguish it from any practice. A “hunter” or surveillance game is a negotiated scenario, framed by rules and a safeword. Stalking, however, is the antithesis of consent. It is not a kink, it is a crime, a psychological aggression born of an unhealthy obsession and not a shared desire.
